My family and I went there for an early lunch and found ourselves in a crowd of locals. Everyone was staring at us being the only Asians there, which was quite unnerving. The atmosphere was not very welcoming. Luckily, an affable elderly couple invited us over to their table and talked us through the menu, their culture, the history of the pub and everything else in between. I must say, the food was spectacular! We found ourselves wanting to order more!

Definitely a must try when going to Koln. The kolsch beer was perfect, always fresh and served just when you were needing another one to help you finish that delicious plate of pork koteller. The place is very unique and breathes that authentic German spirit.

I arrived at this restaurant at 7 P. M. on a saturday and it was already full of people. As soon as I looked the waiter in the eyes to ask him how long would it take to get a table he handed me a beer without even asking me if I wanted it :) In the end I had to wait an hour and half to get a table and had to share it with two strangers. I had the pork chop, it was really big. Beers kept flowing in all night long, the waiter marked them on coaster. I didn't see any menù so in the end the check was a surprise and they don't even accept cards for payment. To make a long story short, it was a really strange and unique experience to eat in this restaurant :)

Very friendly, super cheerful atmosphere! Very very tasty beer. At last some good beer!very tasty food! They bring you all the time until you put the paper on the bottle. They know that means stop 🤣. Wish we could try the porkshank!
